About Me

My photo
I’m obsessed about reading, I love fiction. Specifically paranormal stuff... no it didn't start with twilight. I enjoy a fantasy or sci-fi book as well. And I have read a few urban fantasy books as well and I’m getting into reading a bit of erotica as well (but shh that is our little secret!) No part of my life is what you would call "normal" and I wouldn't have it any other way! I may not be the best at doing reviews. But I try. I try to be Honest and fair, but be warned I can be too honest! If I do not like your book, I will say so. But I will also state why, and also suggest the type of person it might be for. But My Goal is NEVER to be Mean. And Remember it is MY OPINION and you have been warned! Also i don't want to accidentally give out spoilers so in some of my reviews i go for the less is more option. i like readers to discover things for themselves. but that usually doesn't stop me from raving on about a particular book!

The Last Airbender: The Promise Part 1

The Last Airbender: The Promise Part 1The Last Airbender: The Promise Part 1 by Bryan Konietzko

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***ARC with thanks to Netgalley and Dark Horse Comics***

I don't normally Five Star books and this review might have some Bias so just bear with me.

I have watched the Animated Series well over 5 times now; and the end always got me.

Maybe because it was the end of a saga. And I was left saying nooo it can’t be over!

But alas it was until this comic came around that is.

This picks up the story from the end of the animated series.

I cannot say anything that happens in this comic as if I were to read it I would view it as a spoiler. And

This MUST be read from start to finish in one hit. I am even going to force my boyfriend (also a huge

Fan) to read it.

This comic Satisfies that part of me that wanted the animated series to go on longer. The only Bad thing

I can take out of it is the wait for Part 2 (in usual Avatar the last airbender Style it’s Kinda a Cliffhanger…I promise that is all I’ll say)

The Graphics are as expected (exact to what it looked like on TV), anything less and this review would be different. And I hope I’m not the only one who heard the voices of the characters while reading!

For those who have never read a comic before you may find scene changes (eg: where the character remembers a scene) a bit confusing. But stick with it because this comic is well worth it for fans like me. But if you have never watched the animated series this one might not be for you, however this comic does give back story so it might inspire you to watch the series.

All in all a really awesome read.
